WALK-IN INTERVIEW FOR BADMINTON COACH

The Department of Sports, Daporijo, in collaboration with the District Administration, is conducting a walk-in interview to recruit a Badminton Coach who is a past champion athlete.

This initiative is in accordance with Government Order No. DS/SKIC/AP/111/2020 (pt) dated February 28, 2024. The appointed candidate will join the Khelo India Centre (KIC) in Daporijo. The appointment will be purely contractual and will adhere strictly to the Small Khelo India Guidelines issued by the Sports Authority of New Delhi.

1. Important Dates:

Last Date of Receipt of Applications via Email or by Hand: March 22, 2024, until 4 PM.
Date of Walk-in Interview: March 25, 2024.
Place of Interview: Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Daporijo.

2. Eligibility Criteria for Past Champion Athletes:

Must have represented India at recognized international competitions under a recognized Sports Federation/Association of the respective sport.
Should be a medal winner at Senior National Championships conducted by recognized NSF or a medal winner at Khelo India Games.
Must have represented the state in senior National Championships conducted by recognized NSF or participated in Khelo India Games.
Age Limit: Maximum 40 years, with possible relaxations in deserving cases.

3. How to Apply:

Interested candidates can apply by sending their applications via email to de-usuban-arn@nic.in or by submitting them by hand to the District Sports Office, Daporijo. Applicants should include their original education, professional, and sports achievement certificates, along with ID proof and Aadhar Card.

4. Other Details:

The contractual engagement will initially be for two years, extendable based on performance.
Remuneration: Fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 25,000, totaling Rs. 3 lakhs per annum.
Income tax or any other applicable tax will be deducted at source before payment.
No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for the interview or during the tenure of the assignment.
Selected candidates are entitled to 30 days of leave per calendar year on a pro-rata basis.
Unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination of the contract with a 30-day notice.
The Deputy Commissioner of Daporijo reserves the right to withdraw the offer at any time without assigning any reason.
