1. Secretary:

Number of Vacancies: 01

Pay Level in Pay Matrix: Level – 13 Rs. 37400- 67000, GP – 8700/- (pre-revised)

Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/Institute.

Qualifying Criteria: Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis or with 5 years of regular service in Level 12.

Nature of Experience:

1. Experience of working in Regulatory Body preferably in Power Sector.

2. Experience of Engineering Finance, Law Management or Administrative matter related to General Administration in State / Central Govt. / PSU / Statutory Body.

3. Knowledge of Electricity Act 2003, Rules and Regulations thereunder.

4. 10 years of Regulation experience.


2. Deputy Director (Tariff):

Number of Vacancies: 01

Pay Level in Pay Matrix: Level – 11 Rs. 15600-39100, GP – 6600/- (pre-revised).

Qualification: MBA (Finance)/Certified Chartered Accountant/Certified Cost Accountant (Preferably with an Engineering Degree).

Qualifying Criteria: Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis or with 5 years of regular service in Level 10.

Nature of Experience: Minimum 5 years in the determination of ARR and Tariff in the electricity sector.


3. Deputy Director (Regulatory Affairs)

Number of Vacancies: 01

Pay Level in Pay Matrix: Level – 11 Rs. 15600-39100, GP – 6600/- (pre-revised)

Qualification: Graduate degree in Engineering/LLB preferably with specialization in Regulation/Master’s degree in law.

Qualifying Criteria: Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis or with 5 years of regular service in Level 10.

Nature of Experience: Minimum 5 years in regulatory reforms in the energy sector with expertise in framing, compiling, and interpreting regulations.


4. Deputy Director (Energy Management)

Number of Vacancies: 01

Pay Level in Pay Matrix: Level – 11 Rs.15600-39100, GP – 6600/- (pre-revised)

Qualification: BE/B. Tech (Electrical/Mechanical), MBA (Power/Energy Management).

Qualifying Criteria: Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis or with 5 years of regular service in Level 10.

Nature of Experience: Minimum 5 years in Energy sector policy planning, system planning, project techno-economic appraisal, regulatory economics, demand forecasting/modeling, and data analysis.

Terms & Conditions for Recruitment on Deputation:

  • The posts mentioned are exempted from the principle of immediate absorption.
  • Selected candidates will be on deputation for an initial period of 2 year, with the option for further extension based on performance.
  • Up-to-date ACAR/APAR dossiers of the last three year are required.
  • The cut-off date for calculating experience is the date of advertisement.
