Salary:
salary detail
| 1. | Salary of Honorable President State Commission | President of the State Commission shall receive the salary, allowances and other perquisites as are admissible to a sitting judges of High Court of the State – Pension (Pay- Pension). |
| 2. | President District Commission | Rs. 3,000/- per day of sitting subject to maximum of Rs. 5,000/- per month, plus Rs. 1000/- conveyance allowance per day of sitting. |
| 3. | Members district Commission | Rs. 2,500/- per day of sitting subject to maximum of Rs. 5,000/- per month, plus Rs. 500/- conveyance allowance per day of sitting. |
Age Limit:
For the post of President of the State Commission, 40–65 years old is the ideal age.
For the post of Member district Commission : 35-65 years old.
Eligibility:
(A) for the post of President of the State Commission:
- A person shall not be qualified for appointment as President, unless he/she is, or has been, a Judge of the High Court
- A person shall not be qualified for appointment as a President unless he/she is of not less than forty years of age and not more than 65 years of age possesses.
- (i) an experience of at least ten years as presiding officer of a district court or of any tribunal at equivalent level or combined service as such in the district court and tribunal: Provided that not more than fifty percent of such members shall be appointed.
- (ii) a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and has special knowledge and professional experience of not less than twenty years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine:
(B) for the post of Members District Commission:
- A person shall not be qualified for appointment as member unless he-
- (i) is of not less than thirty-five years of age and not ,more than 65 years
- (ii) Possesses a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University; and
- (iii) Is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional experience of not less than fifteen years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.

Documents Required:
a. Age Proof.
b. Educational Qualification Certificate.
c. Experience Certificate.
d. Certificate/ Documents Showing That The Applicant Is Or Has Been Or Is Qualified To Be A District Judge. (For The Post of President State/ District Commission).
e. Advocates Applying For The Post Of President Of District Commission Shall Produce An Experience Certificate Issued By The District Judge.
f. Certificate Showing A Special Knowledge Or Professional Experience Of Not Less Than Fifteen Years In Consumer Affairs, Law, Public Affairs, Administration, Economics, Commerce, Industry, Finance, Management, Engineering, Technology, Public Health Or Medicine. (For the post of Member State/District Commission).
Selection Criteria:
The shortlisted applicants shall be called for an interview before the Govt. constituted Selection Committee, as notified under the relevant rule.
