Eligibility Criteria for State Information Commissioner Recruitment 2024
To apply for the State Information Commissioner Recruitment 2024, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- The State Information commissioner shall be a person of eminence in public life with wide knowledge and experience in Law, Science and Technology, Social Service, Management, Journalism, Mass Media or Administration or Governance.
- The State Information Commissioner shall not be a member of Parliament or Member of the Legislature of any State or Union Territory, as the case may be or hold any other office of profit or connected with any political party or carrying on business or pursuing any profession.
Term of Office of State Information Commissioner
The Information commissioner shall hold office for a period of 3 (three) years from the date on which he/she enters upon the office or until he/she attains the age of 65 years whichever is earlier and shall not be eligible for reappointment.
How to apply for State Information Commissioner Recruitment 2024
Interested candidates shall submit their application in prescribed format as enclosed at Annexure-‘A’ along with testimonial at email id secy-part-arn@nic.in before 5 PM on the last date of closing the application. On Submission of application, it will be presumed that the applicant has carefully gone through the Public Notice and relevant Act/Rules/Regulations and he/she agrees to abide with the same.
- The submission of application in electronic format is mandatory and the time of receipt of email would decide whether an application is in time or late.
- Government servants:- Persons who are presently working under State or Central Government or other Organizations shall submit their application through proper channel along with copies of ACRs/APARs duly attested by the Head of Department/ Head of Office for last 5 (five) years along with Department/ Vigilance clearance. However, in case of selection and prior to taking oath, he/she shall be required to duly resign from the current post.
- ST/SC candidates shall enclose Caste/ Tribe Certificate (s) issued by the Competent Authority along with
- Integrity/ Character and Antecedents:- The integrity of the candidates shall be beyond doubt and free from all types of criminal and other charges. However, the appointment of selected candidate shall be subject to verification of character and antecedents by the Police.
- Applicants shall enclose No Objection Certificate from the Deputy Commissioner of respective home districts and Capital Complex regarding no encroachment of Govt land.
